Three leaders have resigned from the newly formed National Citizens Party (NCP). On Thursday, three people sent separate resignation letters to the party’s convener Nahid Islam. The resigning leaders are Joint Chief Coordinator Abu Hanif, Joint Chief Organizer Hanif Khan Sajib and Joint Chief Coordinator Abduz Zaher. All three of them were involved in the politics of the People’s Rights Council.
In his resignation letter, Hanif Khan Sajib wrote, “I am resigning from the post of Joint Chief Coordinator of the National Citizens Party due to personal reasons.” Abduz Zaher wrote, “I am resigning from the post of Chief Coordinator of the National Citizens Party due to personal reasons.” Regarding his resignation, Hanif said, “I have resigned from the NCP and returned to my post in the People’s Rights Council.”
