Arrested in joint forces operation in Munshiganj

Two people have been arrested in a joint operation by the army and police in the Makhati area of Mollakandi Union in Munshiganj Sadar. The joint operation was conducted at the house of Milton Mallick, an accused in several cases in Mollakandi, in the East Makhati area from 12 am to 2 am on Saturday. Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) of the District Police Mohammad Kamran Hasan gave this information in a press release on Sunday (March 9) morning.
Mohammad Kamran Hasan also said that during the operation, Milton Mallick’s 14 illegal domestic weapons, 34 bottles of foreign liquor, a Suzuki motorcycle, two journalist ID cards, 7 mobile phones, 7 chocolate fireworks, two laptops and 1 lakh taka in cash were recovered. However, the accused Milton Mallick managed to escape from the scene. Later, Md. Sifat Mallick (25) and Md. Nasir Sardar (42) were arrested as suspects from the scene.
A case has been filed against them at Munshiganj Sadar Police Station under the Narcotics and Arms Act, the Superintendent of Police said.
