A terrible fire broke out in the capital’s Mohakhali seven-storey slum. The fire was brought under control after an hour and a half of efforts by eight units of the fire service. The fire broke out at 3:40 am on Tuesday (March 11).
Duty Officer of the Fire Service Headquarters Rakib Al Hasan confirmed the matter. He said that the fire was reported at 3:40 am on Tuesday. Later, eight units of the fire service quickly reached the spot and started working to control the fire. The fire was brought under control after an hour and a half.
However, the fire service has not yet been able to provide definitive information about the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
