BNP’s two union BNP has called an indefinite strike to protest the suspension of the conference.

They announced the strike at around 7:30 pm on Friday (January 5th). Earlier, they staged a protest march to protest the suspension of the conference at Baliadangi intersection.

The procession ended in front of the Upazila BNP office, passing through various important roads in the city. Later, the candidates and voters of the conference participated in the meeting at the party office. It is known that the leaders of the Upazila BNP and organizing organizations have given full support to the strike program.

According to the two union BNP sources, the Baliadangi Upazila of the district was supposed to be a biennial conference on Saturday (February 7th). Union BNP completed all preparations around the conference. But a few hours before the conference began, the district BNP suddenly announced the postponement of the conference. In protest of the decision of the district BNP, the candidates and voters took out a protest march at Baliadangi intersection and called for a strike indefinitely.

At this time, the leaders were heard giving different slogans.

BNP leaders alleged, “We have completed all preparations for the two union BNP conference.” But at 9pm, the district BNP suddenly ordered that Saturday’s conference was postponed. We want this reply, why they postponed the conference. We will observe the strike on Saturday in this protest. If you do not, I will block. We do not accept this decision or not human. I would like to know how much money the district BNP leaders have postponed the conference.

The president and general secretary candidates complained to the district BNP leaders, “They have to respond to whose direction our conference has been postponed.” Why this suspension is where all the preparation is completed. Those who do business with the Awami League will not be discounted. I have been protesting for so long to shake the Awami League and from today I will agitate to withdraw the conspirators from the BNP.

However, the district and upazila BNP president and general secretary were contacted to find out in this regard, but they refused to speak.
