In the influence of the ever-competing India and Pakistan, the regional about regional is being changed in Southeast Asia. New Delhi is establishing relations with the Taliban of Afghanistan and Islamabad is friendly with the new government of Bangladesh after the coup.

At the root of South Asia’s diplomatic activity is the long -lasting distrust between the two most populous and nuclear power countries in the region. After the liberation of British colonial rule in the 5th, India and Pakistan were born in the subcontinent. The two countries have been involved in war multiple times and are still enmity between them.

There are no signs of reducing competition between India and Pakistan. New Delhi denied the secret of the killing of anti -India militants in Pakistan last January.

Rejecting the allegations, Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jayaswal told reporters, “You should not put a snake in the courtyard of the house and they should not expect only your neighbors to bite.”

The relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan have deteriorated since the Taliban returned to power in Kabul about four years ago.

Islamabad alleged that the Taliban government had failed to pull the militants. They say militants are attacking Pakistan using Afghan territory and killing thousands of Pakistani security forces.

Pakistan launched a deadly airstrike in the Afghan border area in December. In addition, firing with militants at the border also took place. It seems impossible to develop the relations of India’s Hindu Narendra Modi government with the hardline Islamist Taliban of Afghanistan, but India has come forward to create opportunities.

Hasan Abbas, a professor at the National Defense University in Washington, told AFP, “India has been following this path for quite some time.”

Professor Hasan Abbas said, “They (India) do not want, the Taliban have the opportunity to be a group of people who can eventually become a threat to India.” It is also an interesting opportunity for New Delhi to ‘bother Pakistan’.

Last January, India’s top diplomat Vikram Misri met Taliban Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaki in Dubai.

India’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Jayaswal described the meeting as “the highest level communication”. He said that New Delhi is determined to strengthen a long -lasting relationship with the people of Afghanistan.

Amir Khan Muttaki expressed hope on expanding relations, a spokesman for the Afghan Foreign Ministry said.

Randhir Jayaswal said they had agreed to move trade and commercial activities in the landlocked Afghanistan using the $ 1 million development project at the port of Iran’s Chabahar container port.

Chabahar is located just west of Pakistan’s Goadar port, which is considered the basis for the expansion of China’s Belt and Road Initiative in Pakistan.

India has long been alert about China’s growing regional impact and influence in South Asia, despite the snowfall of diplomatic relations.

Following the meeting of the Muttakai-Vikram Misri in Dubai, an editorial of the Times of India said that New Delhi’s ‘silent and voluntary communication’ with the Taliban is giving a new regional relations to the strategic regional relationship.

The editorial also said, “India understands the importance of setting foot in Afghanistan even if not officially recognized by the Taliban government.”

It also said, ‘This step is compatible with India’s greater regional strategy. New Delhi is trying to tackle the country’s influence in China’s Belt and Road Initiative and neighboring Pakistan. ”

The enemy’s enemy is my friend: At the same time the old enemy Pakistan and Bangladesh are now talking about ‘friendly’ relationships. The new state of Bangladesh was born in the bloody war with the then West Pakistan in the 5th. Then Bangladesh became close to India. Sheikh Hasina fled to India in August 2021 and resigned from the post of Prime Minister in the face of the student coup. The trial has begun against him on charges against humanity, including genocide in Bangladesh.
