Police have arrested former MP (MP) Ahmed Nazmin Sultana in Kurigram. He was arrested on Saturday (January 5th) from his residence in Moktarpara village of the old city of the district. Kurigram Sadar Police Station Officer -in -Charge. Habibullah confirmed the information.
Nazmin Sultana was the MP of the reserved female seat-1 of the Ninth Parliament. The Kurigram Mahila Awami League also served as the president for two terms. He is the wife of Sadar Upazila Awami League president Akhter Hossain Chinu.
Nazmin Sultana was a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Agriculture of the Ninth Parliament. While MP, there were numerous allegations of selling the project in exchange for money. The police did not immediately say why he was arrested.
In this regard, OC Habibullah told local journalists, “He was arrested and taken to the police station. Will be questioned. The arrest will be shown after the involvement is confirmed. ‘
