Members of Kalyanpur Pottery Cooperative Association of Kumarakhali upazila of Kushtia have been producing modern quality festivals for almost a year and a half. The goods they produce are meeting local needs in different countries of the world.
Kalyanpur pottery cooperative society has been formed in Kalyanpur village of Kumarakhali upazila of the district. 3-5 men and women spend busy time every day. Some are making mud with soil and water, some are making dishes, bowls, vase and cashews with nippon hand tactics. Some are cleaning them with as much as they are dry again, some are doing color with colors every day.
Batokrishna Pal, director of Kalyanpur pottery in Serejamin, said that 5 workers work in my establishment. At present, there is a lot of demand for this industry in the world than the country. There is a lot of demand in some countries, especially in the Middle East, the United States. The businessman of Dhaka exports the goods from here to Qatar. Another businessman exports to Saudi Arabia. The other two traders regularly send the products to the United States.
Rajkumar, manager of the association, said the past heritage of this industry is very rich. Once upon a time, the pottery was used for the essential work of the household, starting from house to house. We are making different types of different types of soil here with the soil.
Chaitali Das has been working as a worker there for a long time. He has chosen this work to run the world. Chaitali said he was earning three thousand rupees a month by doing this. Another worker said that one -third of the salary that pays at the end of the month is spent on the transport. The family has to run in the drainage.
Abdul Haque, who came to buy clay items from here, said that the pottery is mixed with the art and culture of Bengali. It is not a thousand years of tradition now that those products are now available, so I came to buy some products.
