Jamaat announces candidates for 5 Kishoreganj constituencies

The Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has announced its potential candidates for five out of the six parliamentary constituencies in Kishoreganj district for the upcoming national elections. The names of the candidates for the five constituencies were declared on Saturday (February 1).

According to the announcement, the candidates for the constituencies are as follows: Principal Mosaddak Ali Bhuiyan for Kishoreganj-1 (Sadar-Hossainpur), Former Vice Chairman of Katiadi Upazila Parishad, Shafiqul Islam Morol, for Kishoreganj-2 (Katiadi-Pakundia), former central welfare secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra Shibir and a lawyer at the Dhaka Judges’ Court, advocate Sheikh Mohammad Rokon Reza, for Kishoreganj-4 (Itna-Mithamoin-Austagram), Amir of Kishoreganj District Jamaat-e-Islami Professor, Md Ramjan Ali, for Kishoreganj-5 (Nikli-Bajitpur), Amir of Bhairab Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami, Maulana Kabir Hossain for Kishoreganj-6 (Bhairab-Kuliarchar).

The candidate for Kishoreganj-3 (Karimganj-Tarail) will be announced later.

The information was confirmed by Professor Md Ramjan Ali, the Amir of Kishoreganj District unit of Jamaat. He mentioned that, following central directives, the names of candidates for 5 constituencies in the district have been declared, with the name for Kishoreganj-3 to be announced later.
