Suman Munshi (34), the accused in the case filed for his involvement in the murder of protestor Sohel Rana in the capital’s Jatrabari area during the anti-discrimination student movement, has been arrested. RAB arrested him from the Demra Staff Quarter area in the capital on Wednesday (February 19) night.
since last July, during the nationwide anti-discrimination student movement, leaders and activists of Chhatra League, Jubo League and Awami League and armed terrorists attacked protesters with domestic and foreign weapons in different areas of the capital. At that time, Sohel Rana was shot on the Jatrabari Kajla Highway. Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he was declared dead on duty.
In this incident, the victim’s brother filed a murder case against Suman Munshi and approximately a hundred accused at the Jatrabari Police Station. Sumon was arrested on Wednesday in a drive.
