The body of the youth was recovered after 4 days of disappearance

The police recovered the body of a young man named Sabuj Mia (35) floating from a pond in Gaibandha’s Sundarganj four days after he went missing.
His body was recovered from a pond in Moniram Kazi village of Bamondanga union of the upazila on Monday (January 27) morning. Sabuj Mia is the son of Zahurul Islam of that village and he was physically challenged.
Police and locals said Sabuj Mia was missing for the last four days. His family made various efforts, including miking, but no trace of him was found. Later on Monday morning, local people found Sabuj Mia’s body floating in Abdur Razzak Mia’s pond of the same village. On receiving the information, the police quickly reached the spot and recovered the body.
Sundarganj Bamondanga police investigation center in charge. Abdus Sabur said, ‘After receiving the news of the incident, the police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it to the morgue. Currently, no complaint has been received from the family. The matter is being investigated as per law and necessary action will be taken.”
