A teacher has been accused of using an innovative method to encourage students to go to private schools, using irregularities and corruption to award high marks. Titas Mahmud, a teacher teaching eighth grade mathematics and science at Sadar Bazar Public Girls’ High School in Madhyanagar Upazila of Sunamganj, has been accused of using an innovative method. He used to manipulate private students to pass their exams with higher marks even though they got lower marks. He also used this kind of manipulation to prove that he was a good student in class.
On the other hand, teachers who do not study privately also look down on those who are not educated.
The accused assistant teacher Titas Mahmud said, “It is not right for me that only those who studied privately have been given higher marks. The accounts of all the students have been evaluated in this way. Our head sir has asked us to be a little tolerant to reduce the number of students who are affected by the storm. If necessary, he can check everyone’s accounts again.
