Eid -ul -Fitr will be celebrated on Monday (March 7) the next day when the moon of Shawwal is seen in the sky in the evening. And if the moon is not seen anywhere in Bangladesh, on Tuesday, the month of Ramadan will be completed 7 days. In that case, Eid will be celebrated on Tuesday (April 7).
It will be known whether the holy Eid al -Fitr will be celebrated on Monday or Tuesday. The National Moon Viewing Committee is sitting at the meeting on Sunday (March 7) to determine the date of Eid al -Fitr. The meeting will be held at 7.30 pm (Bad Maghrib) in the Baitul Mukarram Islamic Foundation. The meeting will be chaired by the President of the National Moon Viewing Committee and Advisor to Religious Affairs AFM Khalid Hossain.
At the meeting, the date of celebration of Eid al -Fitr will be determined by reviewing the news of the moon of Shawwal of the month of Shawwal. Eid al -Fitr, the largest religious festival of Muslims, was celebrated on the 5th of the month of Shawwal after the fast of Ramadan. Meanwhile, Eid -ul -Fitr is being celebrated in the Middle East countries including Saudi Arabia as the moon is seen. The possibility of seeing the moon in the sky in the evening is immense, according to the Meteorological Office.
