Chinese President Xi Jinping ate mango and jackfruit in Bangladesh. He also told the chief adviser Professor Yunus that the results were two delicious. The meeting of the two leaders was held on Friday (March 27) at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Shafiqul Alam, the chief adviser, told about the discussion held at the meeting.

In a post on Facebook, Shafiqul Alam said that there was a very successful bilateral meeting between Professor Muhammad Yunus and Chinese President Shi Jingping. In the post, Shafiqul Alam wrote that the Chinese President Shi Jingping meeting with Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus was discussed in a wide range of meetings. There was a fruitful and constructive discussion.

President Xi Jinping has reiterated China’s support to the chief adviser and interim government. It was Professor Yunus’s first bilateral tour of abroad and so far it was a great success. Shafiqul Alam also wrote, Jingping said China will encourage Chinese investment in Bangladesh. Chinese manufacturing companies will encourage transfer to Bangladesh. China will consider various important issues raised in Bangladesh. These include a reduction in the interest rate of Chinese loans and cooperation in water resources management.
