Eid is the biggest religious festival of Muslims all over the world. One is Eid -ul -Fitr, and the other is Eid -ul -Azha, also called Eid of the sacrifice. The Muslims of Bangladesh are considered the biggest festival of Eid al -Fitr and in one word the Eid is known to everyone.
Although Eid is the biggest religious festival of Islam, Eid has not started with the advent of Islam. Eid was introduced after the Prophet (peace be upon him) emigrated from Mecca to Medina. When he arrived in Medina, he found that the Jews were celebrating the Nauroz festival and the Meherjan festival. The people of Madinah are also attending the festival with them. He asks, what are these two days? They said, “We used to celebrate these two days of sports, etc. in the ignorance era.” This rule is coming.
How Eid Came
The Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade the Muslims to observe these two festivals and said, “Allah Almighty has given you two days better than these two.” It is Eid al -Fitr and Eid al -Azha. (Nasayi, Hadith: 1,3, Abu Dawood, Hadith: 1,3)
The first Eid in Madinah
There are two opinions about the time of the Eid prayers being introduced
First, the book of Ad-Durrul Mukhtar states that the provision of Eid prayers has been introduced in the first Hijri.
Second, according to most scholars, its provisions were introduced in the second Hijri. Because fasting is obligatory in the month of Sha’ban in the second Hijri. Muslims prayed the first Eid al -Fitr in Madinah in the Second Hijri on March 8 or 8, 125 AD. (Anwarul Mishkat: 1/3; Al -Bidaya One Nihaya: 1/3)
Eid celebrations started in Madinah, but later it spread among Muslims throughout the world and became prevalent.
Eid of the first era
At that time, there was no new clothes like the present Eid, the shopping. However, joy and happiness were not low. The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to look at the joy of everyone, big and small. When the first Eid was introduced, it was customary for relatives, relatives, neighbors to exchanging greetings after Eid prayers.
