Elections without justice will not be accepted

The people will not accept any attempt to put any party in power without reforms and justice, the party’s convener Nahid Islam said. He said this while talking to reporters at the National Memorial in Savar on Wednesday (March 26) while paying tribute to the brave soldiers of 1971.
Nahid said, “We should not have to shed blood again in the days ahead. We want to build a democratic state system. 1971 and 24 are not different. What we wanted in 1971 was achieved in 24. Those who are contradicting it have dishonest intentions.”
Stating that they will not accept elections without reforms and justice, he said, “An attempt is being made to impose the old constitution. On the other hand, a conspiracy is being made to rehabilitate fascism again. There are plans to hold quick elections to come to power.” Nahid also said, “The independence of 1971 and the independence of 24 are not contradictory to each other. The people will not accept any attempt to put any party in power without reforms and justice. The NCP will resist them.”
