The fire service has recovered the bodies of four people after a fire broke out at a residential hotel called Saudia in Shahjadpur in the capital. All four deceased were men. Their identities were not initially known. The fire service received the news of the fire at around 12:17 pm today (Monday).
Talha bin Jasim, an officer of the media cell of the fire service, said, “We received news at around 12:17 pm today that a fire broke out at Saudia Hotel in Shahjadpur under Bhatara police station in the capital. Later, our two units worked for about half an hour to bring the fire under control.
He also said, the hotel building is six-storeyed, and the fire broke out in two floors. After controlling the fire, our search team found the bodies of four people inside the hotel. All the bodies were found on the sixth floor. The bodies were found at the bottom of three stairs inside the bathroom of the sixth floor. The staircase doors were locked. All the deceased were men. Initially, their identities were not available.
