Businessman’s gold recovered in Banasree

The Detective Branch (DB) has arrested six people in connection with the shooting and looting of gold from a businessman in Banasree, the capital. DMP DC (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman gave this information in a press release on Saturday (March 8) morning.
The press release said that the Detective Branch has arrested six people in connection with the sensational shooting and looting of gold from a businessman in Banasree. The lost gold and illegal weapons have been recovered in this incident. DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali will brief journalists on the incident at a press conference at the DMP Media Center at 12:15 pm today, the release also mentioned.
Earlier, on February 23, around 10:30 pm, miscreants shot Anwar Hossain in front of his house on Road No. 7, Banasree D Block and took away about 200 bhoris of gold and one lakh taka in cash. He was later rescued at around midnight with bullet wounds and admitted to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). The injured businessman lives with his family in Banasree area. His house is in Begumganj police station of Noakhali.
