Bangladesh ranks 134th out of 147 countries in the list of the happiest countries in the world in 2025. The ranking was published in the World Happiness Report 2025 report on Thursday (March 20).
Earlier in 2024, Bangladesh’s position was 129th out of 143 countries. In 2023, Bangladesh was 118th in this list. On the other hand, India’s position in the list of happiest countries is 118th, Pakistan’s position is 109th, Myanmar’s position is 126th, Sri Lanka’s position is 133rd and Nepal’s position is 92nd.
According to the World Happiness Report 2025 report, Finland is the happiest country in the world for the eighth consecutive time. After Finland, Denmark, Iceland and Sweden, the Netherlands, Costa Rica, Norway are respectively. In addition, Israel is in 8th place in the list of happiest countries. Next are Luxembourg, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Belgium, Ireland, Lithuania, Austria, Canada, Slovenia.
To compile this list of happy countries, surveys are conducted in the countries included in the list. The factors taken into account in the survey include a person’s level of satisfaction with their own life (according to their own assessment), gross domestic product (GDP) per capita, social security and assistance situation, freedom, civic amenities, average life expectancy and level of corruption.
