Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) will control traffic in the area around Bangabhaban on March 26 (Wednesday) on the occasion of Independence and National Day-2025. This information was given in a public notice signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali today, Monday (March 24).
It said that on the occasion of Independence and National Day on March 26, the Chief Advisor, Chief Justice, Advisors in Charge of Various Ministries, Domestic and Foreign Diplomats and High-ranking Government Officials, including leaders of various organizations, will pay a courtesy call on the President at Bangabhaban.
In order to ensure smooth movement of the vehicles of the guests coming to the event, other drivers plying in the area around Bangabhaban have been requested to follow some instructions from 12 noon to 5 pm on March 26.
1. All types of vehicles will be closed from Sergeant Ahad Police Box (Gulistan) to Ittefaq Intersection (Toynbee Circular Road).
2. All types of vehicles will be prohibited from Alico Gap to Dilkusha Commercial Area and Rajuk Crossing (on DIT Road).
3. No vehicles will ply from the northern end of Park Road towards Ittefaq Intersection (Toynbee Circular Road).
4. All buses from Shapla Chattar and Dainik Bangla bound for Rajuk-Gulistan will ply (to and from) Dainik Bangla, UBL, Press Club or any other convenient alternative route.
5. No commercial vehicles will ply towards Dainik Bangla Rajuk.
These instructions are not applicable to invited guests arriving at Bangabhaban.
