The annual banquet and cake festival was organized by the Bangladesh Community to highlight the domestic culture in the Middle East country Kuwait.
Two -day cultural events, sports and hosters were organized on Thursday and Friday. Expatriate Bangladeshi children served and the women of the expatriate families of different districts highlighted the heritage of their district including handmade vapa pith, chitl pith, patisapata, oil flour, coconut batter, coconut gaza, finger gaza, misti, sandesh.
Bangladesh Community President Muradul Haque Chowdhury presided over the meeting and the general secretary Kamruzzaman Titu called for the community leaders to come forward by highlighting the cooperative activities of Bangladeshi expatriates in Kuwait. In different events, women, men and children also award the prizes among the winners in different sports.
Expatriate housewife Nasima Akhter said such arrangements are not always done. Our boys and girls are forgetting the history and heritage culture in the country. This kind of event of Bangladesh Community increases good relations if the expatriate families of different districts can come together. Boys and girls also get some idea about the culture and heritage of the country.
Bangladesh Community President Muradul Haque Chowdhury expressed his gratitude to the Bangladeshis in the desert from Kuwait City and to participate in this meeting. He urged the expatriates to come to Agir with the help of expatriates in the future.
