Pirojpur’s ‘Mad Babu’ arrested

The alleged Jubo League leader of Pirojpur Babu Howlader alias Mad Babu was arrested in Dhaka. He was arrested from Gulshan area on Wednesday afternoon. Babu is the son of Abdur Rashid Sheikh of Ranipur village of Sharikatla union of Pirojpur Sadar upazila. Pirojpur Sadar Police Station Officer -in -Charge Abdus Sobhan said there were five cases against him in different places of the country including Pirojpur.
According to the document of the case, Babu has been accused of attacking students protesting in the capital Nazrul Islam College Gate area in the capital. And using this acquaintance, he ruled the terror in the area. Cows and goat farms are built in the area to hide the drug business and weapons business. He is known as Vug Babu in Pirojpur due to involvement in illegal liquor business. He was hiding his identity at various times.
