Economic Advisor Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed has expressed hope that the new Bangladesh will be more prosperous. He said this while talking to reporters at the National Memorial in Savar on Wednesday, paying tribute to the brave soldiers of 1971. The Economic Advisor said, March 26 is the greatest day of the country. People are remembering those who were martyred in the Liberation War with respect. Because today’s independent Bangladesh is the result of the sacrifices of the wounded and martyrs in the war.
He also said, we got the new Bangladesh through the student-public uprising of 24, that is also a special day. Therefore, both Independence Day and August 5 are the best days for the country. Both days should always be celebrated with respect.
Saying that the new Bangladesh will be built as a happier and more prosperous country, Salehuddin Ahmed said, our esteem in the world will increase further. For that, everyone has to work together.
