Protest in front of NSU demanding justice

A protest march was held in the capital’s Shahbagh demanding the trial of the leaders of the 2013 Ganajagaran Mancha and the arrest of the stage’s organizer Lucky Akhter. At the same time, the protesters demanded justice for the attack on the police from the ‘Bangladesh Against Rape and Atrocities’ platform program on Tuesday.
On Wednesday evening, a group of students staged a protest in front of Gate No. 8 of the North South University (NSU) located in the Bashundhara residential area of the capital. Along with NSU, some students from the Independent University of Bangladesh and the American International University of Bangladesh also participated in it. The organizers did not have any banners. They claimed to be ordinary students of various private universities.
The protesters first gathered in front of Gate No. 8 of the NSU. Some of them gave speeches there. Slogans were raised in between the speeches. They chanted slogans like ‘Shahbagir Bangla Chhat’, ‘Shahbag not Bangladesh, Bangladesh, Bangladesh’ etc. Then a procession from the NSU gate circled one or two roads in the Bashundhara residential area and ended there again.
