Public protest in front of the advisor’s office

The party has announced a public sit-in program in front of the office of the chief advisor demanding the unconditional release of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General ATM Azharul Islam. They will observe the program from 2 pm to 4 pm on February 25.

The party’s Secretary General, former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar, announced the program in a statement on Friday (February 21). The statement said that Ameer Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman will be present as the chief guest at the public sit-in program.

In the statement, he said that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General ATM Azharul Islam has been detained in prison for more than 13 years in false and fabricated cases of the then fascist government.
