Home Affairs Advisor at CMH to see raped child

Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd.) has visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka Cantonment to see the child who was raped in Magura. On Sunday (March 9) morning, the advisor inquired about the child’s treatment and directed the hospital authorities to ensure the highest medical care. Senior officials of the Combined Military Hospital were present at the time.
Earlier, on March 6, the day of the incident, after learning about the matter, the advisor called the child’s mother and inquired about the child and assured that the government would ensure the highest medical care. Yesterday, the child was brought to the Dhaka Combined Military Hospital from Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced medical care.
Regarding the incident, the Home Affairs Advisor said, a case has been filed against four people at Magura Sadar Police Station in the rape and attempted murder case of an eight-year-old child in Magura, and the police have arrested four accused in the case. He also said, the Home Ministry is vocal about the matter so that the guilty do not get any relief.
