RSC supports DU admission seekers

The Dhaka University unit of the Revolutionary Students Council (RSC) has extended its support to students appearing for the admission exam of the 2024-2025 academic year during the university’s C Unit (Faculty of Commerce).

Since Saturday morning, leaders and activists of the RSC have been actively assisting examinees and their guardians through an information support desk set up on campus.

The council offered a range of services to facilitate the examination process:

– Finding Examination Centres and Seats: Helping candidates locate their assigned centres and seats.

– Rest Facilities for Guardians: Providing waiting areas where parents and guardians could rest comfortably.

– Safe Drinking Water: Ensuring access to clean drinking water for both students and guardians.

– Storage for Mobile Phones and Essentials: Offering secure storage for personal belongings such as mobile phones and other valuables.

– Emergency Motorbike Services: Arranging motorbike transportation to ensure examinees reached their centres on time.

After the exams concluded, RSC members greeted the students with flowers, pens, and personalised greeting cards. The cards conveyed the organisation’s commitment to supporting new students financially during their academic journey. Specifically, the RSC announced it would provide interest-free financial assistance to incoming students admitted to Dhaka University for the 2024-25 academic year.

The organisation’s central convener Abdul Wahed emphasised the dual mission of the RSC: “We are not just an organisation focused on self-improvement and spiritual purification but also one committed to building and managing a democratic state.”

He added, “Through our letters of greetings, we assure students that we stand by them. We will offer financial aid and interest-free loans to those in need.”

RSC central leaders Fazlur Rahman, Ashraf Ullah Khan,  Nesar Ahmed Tuhin and Mustakim Billah, Dhaka University unit leaders Sanowara Khatun, Golam Nur Shafayetullah, Muhib Mushfiq Khan, Md Wahidul Islam and Farzayan Zaki Ahsan Krititwa were present, among others, at the programme.
