Saudi Arabia is set to host a meeting between the United States and Ukraine aimed at finding a peaceful solution to the Ukraine-Russia war. It will be held in Jeddah next week. According to a Reuters report, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said it welcomed the opportunity to host the US-Ukraine meeting. The ministry also said that Saudi Arabia would make every effort to end the Ukraine-Russia war.

Saudi Arabia had already mediated a meeting between Russia and the United States. This time, the country is hosting talks between the United States and Ukraine on the same issue. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he would visit Saudi Arabia on Monday and meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The meeting will take place before the meeting between US and Ukrainian officials.

“The US-Ukraine meeting will be held in Jeddah. Saudi Arabia will continue its efforts to achieve a lasting peace in the Ukraine crisis,” a brief statement from the Saudi Foreign Ministry said.
