Sohag (23) has left for his country after his wife and children were burnt to death in a gas line explosion in a house in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj. The death toll in the incident has risen to four.

He died at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute around 1 am on Monday (March 10) while undergoing treatment. The deceased Sohag is the son of Majedul Islam of Panial Pukur village in Kishoreganj upazila of Nilphamari district. Earlier, Sohag’s wife Rupali (20), one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Sumaiya and rickshaw puller Hannan (40) who lived in the same house died.

Confirming the death, the deceased’s elder brother Rubel said, “My younger brother Sohag, his wife and one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Sumaiya are no longer alive. Sohag died on Monday night. His wife Rupali died on Sunday morning and his daughter Sumaiya died last Friday night.” Dr., resident surgeon of the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute, Shaon bin Rahman said that 40 percent of Sohag’s body was burned.

It is worth noting that on the night of March 3, an explosion occurred due to gas leakage at Ibrahim’s house in the West Dhankunda area of ​​Siddhirganj. At that time, two rooms of the house caught fire and eight people, including men and women from two families, were burned.
