The airport authorities have instructed to continue all types of services at Dhaka’s Shahjalal International Airport during Iftar and Sehri during the holy month of Ramadan. On Saturday (March 1) night, the airport’s executive director, Group Captain Kamrul Islam, said that several important instructions have been given in coordination with all the departments concerned to provide uninterrupted services to passengers during the month of Ramadan.

It said that no service can be stopped during Iftar and Sehri. All gates of the airport have been opened and the presence of security personnel has been made mandatory to ensure the smooth movement of passengers.

Special emphasis has been given to maintaining the cleanliness of the airport, especially during Iftar and Sehri. At the same time, airlines have been instructed not to leave any passenger’s luggage. The airport authorities have reminded that during Ramadan and Eid, luggage is not only related to the weight of the goods, but also to the emotions of the passengers. In this regard, the airport’s executive director said that necessary measures will be taken for the concerned staff to keep the emergency services running. Iftar arrangements have been made for the working staff at the duty desk and counter so that service delivery is not disrupted.
