Students and the public are gathering at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital with a procession chanting slogans. They are celebrating the debut of the new political party of the youth, the National Citizen Party, with flags in their hands. Some of them have come from Rangpur, some from Khulna. Today, Friday, until 3 pm, a procession of people from various districts including Nilphamari, Joypurhat, Rajshahi, Cox’s Bazar was seen at Manik Mia Avenue. A large number of people were present there.

There is a separate arrangement for invited guests. The general public is not able to enter there without an invitation. Among them, some leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizen Committee and leaders of various political parties have arrived. Young Mohammad Nahid Hasan has come from Naogaon. Middle-aged Mohammad Saiful Islam has come from Gazipur. Abdullah Al Imran has come from Dhaka College.

Members of the law enforcement agencies are responsible for overall security during the debut of the National Citizen Party. It was seen on the spot that arrangements have been made for today’s event, including a medical team, temporary wash rooms, police booths, booths for women, VIP booths and water. The presence of media personnel has also been noticed. The event will end before evening. The English version of the name of this new party of the youth will be ‘National Citizens Party’ (NCP).
