As before, Jahangirnagar University (JB) has become overwhelmed by the protests against the officers and employees demanding to maintain the pet quota.
On Tuesday (February 7th), several students were accused of henstal in the procession of officers and employees in front of the university’s new registrar building. As a result, all the students of the university have once again been in the movement demanding the cancellation of the pet quota, regardless of the party.
At 2pm, the students started gathering under the new administrative building with a procession from Batala area of the university. At this time, they started shouting ‘quota nor merit’, ‘If you were to report, Petokota grave’ etc.
Meanwhile, the banner of the Officer-Employees’ Unity Council said in a notification that all the officers/employees of Jahangirnagar University were informed that the admission department was canceled and demanded to keep all the conditions of the admission department to be upheld (February 7) tomorrow (February 7). The Only emergency services will be exempt but urgent services will be covered for movement. All the officers were requested to stay in front of the Third Class Employees Association Office around 9am. ‘
Lastly, about a thousand students are protesting in front of the new administrative building. No one has been seen talking to the administration so far.
It is to be noted that the administration has formed a reform committee in the wake of the movement after the ongoing protests led by the anti -discrimination student movement with pet quota at Jahangirnagar University (JB). At the same time, the committee has been asked to make the final recommendation within 5 business days.
