The United States has suggested not to travel within 5 km on the Kashmir and India-Pakistan border after the terrorist attacks in Pehelgam, India-ruled Kashmir. Besides, travel has been discouraged in Manipur and in different parts of Central and East India.
The US State Department has issued a new directive on Wednesday (April 23) to travel to India, Indian media NDTV said.
The directive is advised to take a minimum second dimension of warning to travel anywhere in India. However, the maximum fourth dimension of travel to four regions of the country, that is, the US authorities not to travel. The United States has also given a maximum fourth magnitude warning on the trip to Manipur due to violence and threat of crime.
According to the US warning, terrorist attacks and violent civilian instability in India’s central Jammu and Kashmir regions can occur. Do not travel to this region. However, the tour of Ladakh and its capital, Leh, is allowed. It is also advisable to avoid the area because of the risk of possible armed conflict within 5 km on the Indo-Pakistan border.
It is to be noted that at least 20 people were killed in Tuesday’s terrorist attack in Pehelgam, most of them tourists. This is the most deadly attack in the Kashmir Valley after the Pulwama attack on the 27th.
