A former BNP leader named Rafiqul Islam Rafiq was killed in a clash between two groups of BNP over TCB cards in Chuadanga. Two more people were injured in the incident. The incident took place at around 11 am today, Saturday, March 8, in the market in front of Titudah Union Parishad. The deceased Rafiqul Islam Rafiq was the former organizing secretary of Titudah Union BNP in Chuadanga Sadar Upazila.

Sub-inspector of Darshana Police Station Anuj Kumar Sarkar said that tension had been prevailing between two groups of BNP in Titudah village for several days over the distribution of VGF cards. A clash broke out between the two groups in the market. Rafiqul Islam was killed on the spot. Meanwhile, tension spread in the area immediately after the clash. The common people closed their shops in panic.

Chuadanga District Police Superintendent Khandaker Golam Maula confirmed this information and said, we have come to know that one person was killed in the clash.
