n the past week, the prices of all types of vegetables have increased by 10 to 20 taka per kg in the capital’s markets. Such a picture was seen on a visit to some markets in Taltala and Sheorapara areas of the capital on Friday.

Due to reduced supply, the prices of winter and summer vegetables have increased by 10 to 20 taka per kg. In these markets, beans have increased by 20 taka per kg to 50 to 60 taka, large cauliflower is being sold at 40 to 50 taka per piece, large cabbage is being sold at 40 to 50 taka per piece, each gourd is being sold at 50 to 60 taka, ripe tomatoes are being sold at 25 to 40 taka per kg, carrots are being sold at 30 to 40 taka, radishes are being sold at 20 taka, beans are being sold at 80 to 100 taka, khirai is being sold at 60 taka and cucumbers are being sold at 80 taka.

Sonali cock chicken is being sold at Tk 270 per kg and Sonali hybrid at Tk 250, down Tk 40 per kg from last week. Red layer chicken is being sold at 300 taka, white layer at 290 taka, broiler chicken is being sold at 190 taka, down 20 taka per kg, and domestic chicken is being sold at 570 taka per kg.
