Leprosy primarily causes nerve damage, deformities, and skin lesions. Affected individuals lose sensitivity to touch, pain, and temperature. Symptoms include skin lesions, muscle weakness, and numbness in hands and feet. Doctors are saying that with early detection and appropriate treatment, it’s possible to completely overcome this disease.
