Israel’s Defense and War Minister Israel Katz is trying to exploit the bloody conflict in Syria to politically exploit the situation. In response to the ongoing events in Syria, the Israeli Defense Minister said, “Jolani (Ahmad al-Shara) presented himself as a moderate in official clothes. But now the mask has been removed from his face.”
Justifying the expansion of the Zionist ruling group’s occupation since the regime change in Syria, Katz claimed, “Israel is defending itself against the Syrian threat and our forces will remain in Syrian territory, including the Hermon Plateau, and will protect the Golan Heights and the Galilee.”
On the other hand, the new Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, Yal Zamir, made a statement containing a threat of war, claiming, “This year will be the year of war, centered on Gaza and Iran.”
