BGB has arrested a young man named Afsar Ali (25), along with six gold bars weighing three kilograms in Chuadanga. He was arrested on Thursday (March 27) at noon from the village of India border in the district.
The arrested is the son of Shahidul Islam of Jhajhadanga village of Darshan police station in Afsar. Chuadanga 1 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) commander Lt. Colonel Nazmul Hasan.
Nazmul Hasan said that on Thursday afternoon, on the basis of secret news, BGB members of the Sultanpur BOP camp launched a raid in front of the primary school of Six Gharia village. At that time, BGB members arrested a suspected person on the border area by motorcycle. Later, the detained Afsar Ali’s body was searched and 3 gold bars, specially hidden in his waist, were seized. The seized gold weighs three kg six grams. The estimated value of it is Tk.
He said the case was submitted to the police station and submitted to the seized gold treasury.
